Music room expectations
1. Be Courteous/Listen
2. Participate/Join In
3. Stay Positive/ I'll Try
Be Courteous/ Listen: Courtesy is a combination of being polite and thinking about other people. Listening is paying attention to what is being said. We have discussed that listening not only involves being quiet so you can hear, but it also is important to LOOK at the person you are listening to which not only shows respect and courtesy, but it helps the person listening to pay better attention. We want to make sure our actions make it easier (not harder) for the people around us to learn!
Participate / Join In: Music is an active participation activity! You must join in to learn and enjoy music.
Stay Positive / I'll Try: We are looking for an attitude that says, "I'll try". We recognize that everyone comes to class with a different background and different level of experience in music. We do not expect perfection, but we do expect a willingness to give it your best effort and try.
